Job summary

PCL Construction seeks an experienced VDC/BIM professional to develop and validate virtual models from plans and elevations, and coordinate multi-discipline construction data on Texas projects. You will lead the model management, contribute to site logistics modeling, and drive adoption of VDC tools with the project team.

Your role includes collaborating with estimating, reviewing BIM execution plans, and coordinating RFIs, while maintaining modeling standards and delivering accurate 3D/4D

Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural).
• 2 to 4 years of construction-related experience, including 1 to 2 years of Virtual Design and Construction-related experience.
• Understanding of construction sequences.
• Awareness of implementing construction technology.
• Ability to provide project model management and translate drawings into BIM.

Responsibilities

• Builds, reviews, or validates virtual models from plans, specifications, and elevations.
• Collaborates with the project team on development of construction-site logistics models.
• Supervises coordination and management of trade detailing and design deliverables.
• During pursuit, reviews and recommends scopes for VDC tools and processes.
• Collaborates with estimating on model compliance checking and validation.
• Collaborates on BIM execution plan review and contract language.
• Facilitates trade partner model coordination and reports to project management.
• Aggregates and keeps multidiscipline construction models current, adhering to standards.
• Communicates kickoff and coordinates RFI processing with the project team.
• Promotes virtual construction tools to project staff.
• Shares new technologies and drives adoption of PCL technologies through processes.
