VDC/BIM Engineer – Revit, Navisworks, In-Office Detroit

Job summary

Venteon is currently seeking a VDC / BIM Engineer to fill an opening with a company located in Troy, MI. Direct hire, in-office position with a leading construction company in Metro Detroit.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support fabrication and installation processes, work on advanced BIM and VDC projects, create REVIT models, generate 2D extractions, and develop detailed system layouts for power, lighting, and control systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of design experience.
• 2-5 years of proven proficiency and experience in Revit 2020.
• 2-3 years of experience with an electrical contracting company (preferred) and/or architectural/engineering firm.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2020, Navisworks 2020, and Bluebeam 2020 is a plus.
• Experience in laser scanning of facilities is desirable, but not required.
• Knowledge of data entry into Trimble robotics layout station is a plus.
• Trimble laser scanning knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform VDC / BIM coordination with other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
• Create 3D models in REVIT and generate 2D extractions for paper documentation.
• Prepare detailed system layouts for power, lighting, and control systems, including all necessary views and dimensions.
• Work closely with electrical foremen, project managers, electrical engineers, and other disciplines to develop drawings and models for construction coordination and installation.
