Job summary

AEC Alliance in Nashville, TN seeks a VDC/BIM Engineer/Designer to join the in-house VDC team. Build 3D models from design drawings, produce 2D shop drawings used by the field, and coordinate with general contractor and trade partners while supporting project teams from planning through construction.

You will turn models into real structures, work closely with field teams, and help roll out new VDC technologies across projects.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of drafting, design, or detailing experience.
• Experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit required.
• A degree in engineering, architecture, construction management preferred.
• Structural or concrete detailing experience is a strong plus.
• Detail-oriented and organized with ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once.

Responsibilities

• Build 3D models from design drawings and documents.
• Produce 2D shop drawings the field uses for layout.
• Review design documents, catch conflicts early, and send clear questions to design teams.
• Coordinate models with general contractor and trade partner VDC teams.
• Work closely with project managers from planning through construction.
• Create as-built models and drawings from field layout data.
• Help evaluate and roll out new VDC technology across projects.
