Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a VDC Engineer to support project teams, mentor BIM engineers, and manage model coordination between design, engineering, trades, and operations. You will drive VDC execution, resolve clashes, ensure model quality, and contribute to field coordination efforts using AutoCAD, Revit, Synchro, Navisworks, and SketchUp while collaborating across disciplines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering.
• Experience with BIM/VDC concepts and models.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Exposure to BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Synchro, SketchUp.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams and mentor BIM Engineers.
• Coordinate VDC between design, engineering, and operations.
• Identify and resolve clash detections and coordination issues.
• Ensure model reliability and quality across disciplines.
• Enforce VDC schedule and assist with field alignment.
