Job summary

Rockford is seeking a Visual Design Construction Coordinator to lead VDC coordination and support project teams in BIM and VDC methodologies. You will work with the MEP & VDC Manager to coordinate models, run clash detection, and drive coordination meetings with architects, engineers, and trade contractors.

The role involves developing 3D models in Revit for coordination, QA/QC field checks, and BIM close-out processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural, Engineering, Construction Management, or Computer Science preferred.
• Minimum of one year construction technology experience.
• Understanding of basic construction processes, procedures, and technologies.
• Understanding of VDC and BIM within a business context.
• Familiarity with construction management software and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with VDC/BIM software including Navisworks Manage, Revit, Autodesk CAD, SketchUp.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, submittals, etc.
• Working knowledge of MS Office with strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Support in-house pre-construction, design, and project management teams with day-to-day duties and training.
• Assist in developing/maintaining BIM contracts and documents.
• Explore additional VDC applications (4D scheduling, 5D cost, nd).
• Manage and analyze models to identify coordination and constructability issues.
• Develop 3D models in Revit for coordination as needed.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with construction, design teams and trade contractors.
• Manage coordination, perform clash detection, visual walkthroughs, and sign-off.
• Field check for QA/QC and provide site reports.
• Conduct BIM close-out, including final as-built models.
