Job summary

Toyota Ventures seeks an experienced fund accounting manager to lead end-to-end accounting for venture funds. You will own cash management, month-end close, and portfolio accounting, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.

The role interfaces with senior leadership, investors, and portfolio companies. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of accounting, VC fund experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and expertise with fund accounting platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional accounting experience, with VC/PE fund exposure preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to work with senior leadership.
• Hands-on with fund accounting systems and data integrity.
• Experience building and auditing complex financial models.
• Excellent communication across stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Fund Operations and Cash Management including capital calls and distributions.
• Month-End close and journal entries tied to FoF and portfolios.
• Portfolio and Investment Accounting accuracy against cap tables and G/L.
• Maintain fund data integrity across systems and sources.
• Build and audit American/European waterfall models for distributions.
• Coordinate with external tax providers and prepare documentation.
• Prepare reporting files for LPs and parent entities.
• Respond to investor inquiries with clear, technical explanations.
