Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform a full range of vascular exams using ultrasound and related modalities. This role requires certifications in BLS, and ARDMS credentials (RVT‑VT) along with an Associate’s Degree in Sonography.

The position involves cross-training across CV Services, mobile-site coverage, and rotating on-call duties during nights, weekends, and holidays. Expect various exams, strict documentation, and high imaging quality standards while supporting

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
• RVS (CCI) certification
• RVT‑VT (ARDMS) certification
• Associate’s Degree in Sonography

Responsibilities

• Cross-trains to other divisions of CV Services.
• Critique positioning, technical factors and alignment to ensure imaging quality.
• Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
• Document accurately and completely.
• Perform routine and complex vascular ultrasound imaging procedures following departmental guidelines.
• Rotate to off-site mobile locations to serve patients with local testing availability.
• Take call during rotating holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Ensure proper cleaning of equipment and rooms between patients.
• Communicate patient history and exam findings clearly to physicians.
