Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound exams using diverse modalities. The role includes cross-training within CV Services and travel to off-site locations to serve patients with timely testing.

The position requires BLS within 30 days, ARDMS/CCI credentials, and an Associate’s Degree in Sonography. You will contribute to high standards of imaging and patient care at multiple Carle Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification (CCI).
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT‑VT) certification (ARDMS).
• Associate’s Degree in Sonography.

Responsibilities

• Cross-trains to other divisions of CV Services.
• Demonstrates imaging quality by critiquing positioning, factors and alignment.
• Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality and completeness.
• Documents accurately and completely.
• Performs routine and complex vascular ultrasound imaging following departmental guidelines.
• Conducts a variety of vascular ultrasound exams per physician orders and standing protocols.
• Rotates to off-site mobile locations to improve local testing availability.
• Takes call during rotating holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Cleans equipment and rooms between patients.
• Documents findings to communicate with physicians on patient history and exam results.
