Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a vascular ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic testing of extracranial, peripheral and visceral vascular systems. You will collect data, document results, and prepare reports for reading physicians.

Candidates with 1 year of dedicated vascular lab experience are preferred, but new grads from a vascular ultrasound program will be considered. The role involves 4–10 hour shifts across days and requires adherence to policy and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Vascular ultrasound testing experience preferred; all levels considered for dedicated vascular program.
• Experience performing duplex/Doppler exams is expected.
• Familiar with documenting test results and communicating findings to physicians.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records, takes history, and performs vascular physical exams.
• Performs duplex/Doppler exams per policy; assists from supervisor or physician as needed.
• Provides preliminary results in EMR and notifies referring physician of significant findings.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and coordinates with technical support as needed.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
