Job summary

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit is seeking a qualified vascular technologist to perform noninvasive peripheral vascular imaging and Doppler studies. Under general supervision, you will interpret results to aid in diagnosing arterial, venous, and cerebral vascular disease.

You will conduct a range of arterial and venous examinations, assist in teaching residents and students, and participate in research and quality initiatives while maintaining equipment and coordinating tests.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in science or applied sciences; understands vascular anatomy.
• RVT/ARDMS or CCI/RVS registry eligible; must register within 12 months.
• Peripheral vascular specialization preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform noninvasive peripheral vascular imaging and Doppler procedures.
• Interpret and report preliminary results to aid in diagnosis.
• Conduct arterial and venous exams with noninvasive equipment.
• Participate in vascular research studies and data analysis.
• Teach vascular procedures to residents, fellows and students.
• Schedule patient tests and answer telephone as needed.
• Operate, maintain and repair testing equipment; manage supplies.
• Contribute to process and quality improvement initiatives.
