Job summary

Doral Health & Wellness in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced Vascular Ultrasound Technician to join our diagnostic imaging team. The role focuses on non-invasive vascular studies in an outpatient setting with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and patient comfort.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited DMS/VT program, ARDMS-RVT certification, and proven experience performing vascular, Doppler, and duplex studies to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology program.
• Current board certification is required.
• ARDMS-RVT or equivalent vascular certification required.
• Experience with vascular ultrasound, Doppler and duplex studies.
• Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial and venous studies.
• Perform Doppler and duplex ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
• Conduct studies for conditions such as DVT, venous insufficiency, arterial disease, and other vascular conditions.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and accurately document findings.
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain vascular ultrasound equipment appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
