Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technician to perform vascular diagnostic imaging and physiologic testing under physician orders. You will follow department protocols and use ultrasound equipment independently.

The role requires a high school diploma, ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS eligibility with registry within 12 months, and CPR certification. Day shift with contingent hours and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Eligible to take ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS registry upon hire.
• Register RVT/RVS within 12 months of hire.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED certification required upon hire.

Independently performs vascular diagnostic procedures utilizing ultrasound and vascular physiologic testing equipment as ordered by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols and established standard operating procedures. Utilizes independent judgment and critical thinking.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Candidate must meet one of the following credential criteria: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT); Cardiovascular Credentialling International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); Must be eligible to take the registry exam upon hire.
• Certification (RVT/RVS) must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Failure to do so will result in termination of position.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED certification required upon hire.
