Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. in Gilbertsville, PA, is seeking an ultrasound technologist for evening shift (M-F 3pm-11:30pm with holiday rotation and on-call). You will perform ultrasound exams across vascular and non-routine studies, ensuring high-quality images for radiologists.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate in diagnostic medical sonography or ARDMS-certified.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths/weaknesses of solutions.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information ethically.
• Excellent customer service and strong written and verbal communications.
• RDMS - ARDMS on hire.
• AHA Basic Life Support in PA within 30 days.
• RVT - ARDMS on hire or RVT credential.
• VS - ARRT in PA on hire.
• RT - Radiology Technologist in PA on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in non-routine specialized exams such as vascular studies.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on vascular systems for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
• Ensure quality control and quality improvement per guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain current expertise and pursue continuing education.
• Coordinate parameters and protocols for imaging equipment with radiologists.
• Revise and review current protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic tests.
• Ensure proper consents are present before taking patients.
• Produce diagnostic images and prepare images for radiologist interpretation.
