Job summary

The Surgical Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant Scheduler for the Vascular and Vein service line to coordinate patient care with clinical support and scheduling expertise.

In this role, you will schedule vascular surgeries and procedures, obtain insurance authorizations, educate patients, and maintain precise documentation while supporting a patient-centered workflow at our Nashville clinics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 6 months of MA healthcare experience.
• Completion of CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required or within 3 months of hire.
• At least 1 year of prior surgery scheduling experience in a clinical/surgical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with vascular procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and post-procedure care.

Responsibilities

• Schedule vascular surgeries and procedures and obtain insurance authorizations.
• Assist in in-office vascular procedures and patient education.
• Coordinate with dialysis clinics and imaging staff for same-day visits.
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in EMR.
• Greet patients, manage check-in/out, and coordinate follow-up appointments.
• Respond to clinical calls and route communications to appropriate staff.
