Job summary

The Surgical Clinic (TSC) in Middle Tennessee is hiring a Medical Assistant Scheduler for the Vascular and Vein service line. You will coordinate patient care by scheduling vascular surgeries, obtaining insurance authorizations, and communicating with patients, providers, and external facilities.

You will assist with in-office vascular procedures, education, and documentation, while helping maintain clinic readiness and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant Training Program or CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• 1 year of prior surgery scheduling experience preferred.
• Vascular/vein clinic experience preferred.
• Familiarity with vascular procedures like catheter care and wound care preferred.
• Knowledge of dialysis scheduling and vascular access coordination preferred.
• Experience with vascular ultrasound and imaging coordination preferred.
• OSHA/HIPAA compliance maintained.
• Proficient in EMR and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vascular surgery and procedure scheduling.
• Obtain insurance authorizations.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and external facilities.
• Assist with in-office vascular procedures and patient education.
• Maintain clinic readiness and accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with dialysis clinics and imaging services.
• Order and track imaging and ultrasound when indicated.
• Ensure timely referrals and follow-up.
