Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Vascular Surgery Team in Concord, NC. The role primarily assists vascular surgeons in the OR, hospital, and clinic, handling a broad spectrum of vascular conditions and assisting with routine and complex procedures.

Required are 1 year of PA/NP vascular experience, completion of a PA/surgical or acute care NP program, BLS/ACLS, and board certification. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in PA/NP role in vascular surgery preferred.
• Completion of an accredited PA/surgical assistant or acute care NP program.
• Current basic and advanced life support (BLS/ACLS).
• Experience with OR assisting preferred.
• Board certification by appropriate board.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical history, exams, and daily assessments.
• Record findings and plan of care.
• Prescribe medications and administer treatments.
• Order/interpret labs and imaging.
• Determine and document treatment plans.
• Document encounters in medical records.
• Advocate for patients.
• Participate in meetings and policy development.
