Job summary

CaroMont Health in Gastonia, NC seeks an experienced NP/PA to join a busy vascular surgery practice led by two vascular surgeons and four surgical PAs. You will perform inpatient/outpatient care, rounds, and first-assist in open vascular cases, with 10–15 cases weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of vascular surgery experience.
• Licensed NP or PA with surgical background.
• Experience with inpatient rounds and operating room first assist.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings, including inpatient consults, rounds, and first-assist in the OR.
• Manage follow-up visits in the office; post-op clinic staffed by Vascular Surgery PAs.
• Coordinate patient care with CaroMont Medical Group; staff post-op clinic during the week.

Outstanding opportunity for an experienced NP/PA to join an established and busy single specialty vascular surgery practice consisting of two vascular surgeons and four surgical physician assistants.Prior experience (minimum of 2-3 years) in vascular surgery is required.The practice is in Gastonia, NC, just outside of Charlotte, one of the fastest growing cities in the country.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing practice experiencing robust growth over the last four years.The responsibilities of this role will involve direct patient care in the inpatient setting/outpatient setting including inpatient consults, rounds, and “first-assisting” in the operating room, as well as seeing follow-up patients in the office. "Post-op clinic" is staffed entirely by the Vascular Surgery PAs. Operative volume is typically 10-15 open vascular operations per week.

Secondary responsibilities will include coordinating patient care with CaroMont Medical Group, staffing the vascular surgery post-op clinic during the week, and coverage for the hospital during the day.The above responsibilities will be shared equally with our current Physician Assistants. This position is Monday through Friday (8am-4pm). Call obligations will be seven (7) nonconsecutive days per month, including one weekend. Call obligations include rounding, telephone calls, and serving as a first assist on emergency Vascular Surgery cases.
