Job summary

Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Concord, NC, seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our vascular surgery team. The role mainly assists vascular surgeons in OR, hospital, and clinic settings, handling a broad spectrum of vascular conditions with first and second assist duties.

Candidates should have 1+ year in vascular surgery as PA/NP, complete a accredited PA/NP program, and hold ACLS/BCLS with board certification.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in PA/NP role in vascular surgery.
• Completed an accredited PA/surgical assistant or acute care NP program.
• ACLS and BCLS required.
• First assisting in the OR preferred and board certification in appropriate board.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical histories, physicals, and daily assessments.
• Writes prescriptions and orders labs/radiology as needed.
• Determines and documents treatment plans; records encounters.
• Acts as patient advocate and participates in meetings and policy development.
• Weekend and shared surgical call; inpatient and outpatient settings.
