Job summary

Dell Medical School's Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery is recruiting a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon to lead the Section of Vascular Surgery. The Chief will guide a team of five physicians and five advanced practice providers in a clinic-based academic program with opportunities in clinical practice, research, and teaching.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Vascular Surgery (or board-eligible).
• Unrestricted medical license in Texas (or eligible to obtain).
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
• Outstanding teaching, communication, and organizational skills.
• Eligible for appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive vascular care across Dell Seton, Ascension Seton, and affiliated centers.
• Lead the Vascular Surgery Section, recruit faculty, and oversee program growth.
• Develop regional referrals, set division direction, and align with institutional goals.
• Engage in medical student and resident education; participate in GME activities.
• Lead clinical research, quality improvement, and scholarly activities.

Education
