Job summary

Dell Medical School, part of The University of Texas at Austin, is seeking a full-time vascular surgeon at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to join the Division of Vascular Surgery. Board-certified/eligible in Vascular Surgery; must have completed an accredited vascular surgery fellowship or integrated residency.

The role involves extensive clinical practice across open and endovascular procedures, plus significant involvement in medical student education and GME activities.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Current Board certification in Vascular Surgery (or board eligible).
  • Unrestricted Texas medical license or ability to obtain prior to appointment.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
  • Outstanding clinical teaching skills.
  • Innovative self-starter with a commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Eligible for appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor rank.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive vascular care, including open and endovascular procedures across a diverse clinical system.
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care, on-call coverage, outpatient clinics, and perioperative management.
  • Actively contribute to medical student and resident education.
  • Engage in clinical research, quality improvement, and scholarly activities.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with referring physicians and hospitals in Austin and Central Texas.
  • Assist in developing data and evaluation infrastructure to assess quality metrics and outcomes.
  • Participate fully in departmental activities and comply with policies.
