Job summary

Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin seeks a full-time vascular surgeon at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to join our Division of Vascular Surgery. Board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Surgery and completion of an accredited fellowship or residency are required.

The selected candidate will join an expanding Vascular Surgery Division, providing a wide range of vascular care, participate in medical student education and general surgery resident training,

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current Board certification in Vascular Surgery (or board eligible).
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
• Outstanding clinical teaching skills.
• Innovative self-starter with a commitment to excellence.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Eligible for appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor rank.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive vascular care, including open and endovascular procedures across a diverse clinical system.
• Deliver high-quality clinical care, participating in on-call coverage and outpatient clinics.
• Actively contribute to the education of medical students and general surgery residents.
• Engage in clinical research, quality improvement, and scholarly activities.
• Promote an environment of scientific inquiry with trainees, researchers, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Build partnerships with referring physicians and hospitals in Austin and Central Texas.
• Assist in developing data and evaluation infrastructure for quality metrics and outcomes.
• Participate fully in departmental activities and comply with policies.
