Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Vascular Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit (9K). This 24-bed unit specializes in vascular surgery, telemetry, and renal/pancreas transplant care, offering high-acuity, hands-on experience.

As part of the Surgical Specialty Team, you will work 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• RN license required; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with the Surgical Specialty Team to support vascular and transplant patients.
