Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Vascular Sonography Technologist for a Per Diem role to perform clinical vascular diagnostic studies and contribute to high-quality patient care. You will gather patient histories, verify identities, and ensure accurate documentation while interpreting results and communicating urgent findings to physicians.

The ideal candidate has vascular technology training beyond high school or an Associate degree, and RVT or RVS certification within a year of graduation,

Qualifications

  • Vascular technology training beyond high school or an Associate degree.
  • Registered RVT by ARDMS or RVS by CCI within 1 year of graduating from a vascular sonography program.
  • 1+ year of experience with modalities including extra cranial, venous, peripheral arterial, and visceral.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical vascular diagnostic services.
  • Gather accurate patient history and ensure thorough documentation.
  • Verify patient identification and assess symptoms to determine exam relevance.
  • Interpret examination results and report emergent findings promptly to referring physicians.
  • Participate in departmental educational activities to maintain and grow competence.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service when interacting with patients and staff.

Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
