Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an Emergency Services Technician to join our growing team on a per diem schedule, serving both the Waterville and Augusta campuses.

Responsibilities include basic patient care within scope of practice, assisting with emotional, physical and spiritual needs, greeting patients and visitors, answering calls, and performing ECGs, splinting, and specimen collection as delegated.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience leading a team.
  • CNA or EMT licensure in Maine or MOAB certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Emergency Services Technician

Opportunity

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an Emergency Services Technician to join our growing team! This position has a per diem schedule and will work in both the Waterville and Augusta Campuses.

Work
  • Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice.
  • Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs and reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
  • Greets patients and visitors.
  • Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
  • Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
  • Performs technical procedures as delegated by medical staff, including ECGs, splinting, and the specimen collection.
  • Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience leading a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytic and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and support skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants and Direct Care Workers, or Licensed EMT – Maine Department of Public Safety (DPS), or Certified Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) – MOAB Training International Inc.
Compensation Information

$19.65 - $34.39 – The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on‑call, and other applicable differentials.
