Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Vascular Laboratory Tech in Winston-Salem, NC. You will perform vascular ultrasound exams, verify orders, and document findings in the cardiovascular reporting system.

Applicants must graduate from a CAAHEP vascular sonography program (or hold RVT/RVS credentials) with at least two years of experience and BLS certification. 40 hours weekly, 10AM-7PM, rotating weekends/holidays, no call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP vascular sonography program or has RVT/RVS credentials.
• Minimum of two years of vascular ultrasound experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Meets all requirements of a Vascular Ultra Tech/MG/Clinic I and related competencies.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician's orders and reviews patient record prior to exam.
• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing per protocol while ensuring patient comfort.
• Documents abnormal findings and prepares preliminary reports.
• Enters data into reporting system and ensures equipment is cleaned per guidelines.

This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible.

Position Highlights

• Sign on Bonus: This job qualifies for a $15,000 sign on bonus (New Hire), $10,000 sign on bonus (New Grad) provided the candidate meets eligibility requirements.

What You'll Need

• Graduate of a CAAHEP vascular sonography program/or comparable experience with RVT or RVS credentials required.
• Two years of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Meets all requirements of a Vascular Ultra Tech/MG/Clinic I and a minimum of five competencies required: Renal Artery Doppler, Visceral Doppler, Thoracic Outlet, Cold immersion testing, Allen's testing, Fistula mapping, post-operative AVF evaluation. Post procedural Doppler lower arterial (Stents, bypass angioplasty), EVAR, Venous reflux, Venous procedure (sterile scrub tech) Ulcer bed sclerotherapy siting. Iliac vein study- May Thurner. Iliac vein stent evaluation. Post venous procedure EHIT evaluation. Carotid stent or bypass

What You'll Do

• Verifies physician's orders and reviews patient record prior to exam.
• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing according to accredited vascular laboratory protocols, ensures patient comfort throughout exam.
• Recognizes and documents abnormal pathologies according to imaging protocols' as necessary to support diagnosis.
• Provides physician detailed preliminary report
• Enters measurement data and final report into cardiovascular reporting system
• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning in accordance with manufactures guidelines
