Job summary

Advocate Health’s vascular laboratory at High Point is hiring a qualified vascular technologist to perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound exams. The role requires RVT or RVS credentials (or equivalent experience) with BLS certification, and new grads must obtain credentials within a year.

Schedule is Mon-Fri, 32 hours weekly, with competitive pay and benefits. Salary is listed as $33.05–$49.60 per hour, with sign‑on bonus eligibility up to $15,000 for new hires and $10,000 for new grads, plus

  • Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program or comparable RVT/RVS experience.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies physician orders and reviews patient records before exams.
  • Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing per lab protocols and ensures patient comfort.
  • Recognizes and documents abnormalities to support diagnosis.
  • Provides physician with a detailed preliminary report.
  • Enters measurement data and final report into the cardiovascular system.
  • Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Enters charges into the electronic medical record.

What You'll Need
  • Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program/or comparable experience with RVT or RVS credentials required.

  • Competencies in: ABI, Arterial Doppler (no intervention) Carotid (no intervention) Aortic ( no intervention) , Saphenous vein mapping, Exercise ABI, DVT Upper/ Lower extremity required.
What You'll Do

  • Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing according to accredited vascular laboratory protocols, ensures patient comfort throughout exam.
  • Recognizes and documents abnormal pathologies according to imaging protocol's as necessary to support diagnosis.
  • Provides physician detailed preliminary report.
  • Enters measurement data and final report into cardiovascular reporting system
  • Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning in accordance with manufactures guidelines.
  • Enters charges into electronic medical record.
