Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist invites a qualified vascular sonographer to join the 02058 WFBMG University Group Practice: High Point Main - Cardiology: Vascular Laboratory. This full-time role is 32 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00, with a $15,000 new-hire sign-on bonus ($10,000 for new grads) and relocation assistance up to $5,000.

Graduate of a CAAHEP vascular sonography program or equivalent with RVT/RVS credentials is required, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program or comparable RVT/RVS credentials.
• New graduates must obtain RVT/RVS within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician orders and reviews patient records prior to exam.
• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing per protocols and ensures patient comfort.
• Recognizes and documents abnormal pathologies to support diagnosis.
• Provides physician detailed preliminary report.
• Enters measurement data and final report into cardiovascular system.
• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning per manufacturer guidelines.
• Enters charges into the EMR.

Position Highlights

What You'll Need

• Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program/or comparable experience with RVT or RVS credentials required.
• New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Competencies in: ABI, Arterial Doppler (no intervention) Carotid (no intervention) Aortic ( no intervention) , Saphenous vein mapping, Exercise ABI, DVT Upper/ Lower extremity required.

What You'll Do

• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing according to accredited vascular laboratory protocols, ensures patient comfort throughout exam.
• Recognizes and documents abnormal pathologies according to imaging protocol's as necessary to support diagnosis.

• Enters measurement data and final report into cardiovascular reporting system
• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning in accordance with manufactures guidelines.
• Enters charges into electronic medical record.
