Job summary

Advocate Health’s High Point Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a full-time Vascular Laboratory Technologist to perform standard vascular duplex testing and support diagnostic workflows. The role emphasizes patient comfort and accuracy in imaging per department protocols.

You will verify orders, document findings, and maintain quality patient care while adhering to process standards. Eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with relocation support for qualified candidates; regular weekday

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program or comparable experience with RVT or RVS credentials required.
• New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Competencies in ABI, Arterial Doppler, Carotid, Aortic, Saphenous vein mapping, Exercise ABI, DVT Upper/Lower extremity required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician's orders and reviews patient record prior to exam.
• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing according to accredited vascular laboratory protocols, ensures patient comfort throughout exam.
• Recognizes and documents abnormal pathologies according to imaging protocol's as necessary to support diagnosis.
• Provides physician detailed preliminary report.
• Enters measurement data and final report into cardiovascular reporting system
• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning in accordance with manufactures guidelines.
• Enters charges into electronic medical record.

Position Highlights

Physical Requirements

This position requires light to moderate physical effort with lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies. Requires sitting, standing reaching, bending, pushing and pulling. Intact sense of sight and hearing required.

Education, Experience And Certifications

Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program/or comparable experience with RVT or RVS credentials required. New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.
