Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System in Springfield, IL, seeks a sonography professional for Cardiology Imaging. The role is full-time with a 40-hour weekly schedule and a $20,000 sign-on bonus. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, QA coordination, and involvement in accreditation efforts.

The ideal candidate will have RVT/RVS eligibility or certification, BLS, and either an allied health program background or an associate degree in allied health. Ultrasound experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as RVT or RVS required or eligible to sit for exam within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Graduate of or enrolled in an allied health program; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and performs various sonography studies per protocol and orders.
• Processes studies for interpretation by the physician and provides preliminary results.
• Provides patient care in accordance with age- and needs-based standards.
• Coordinates department QA initiatives and maintains required competencies.
• Develops departmental or community education activities and supports accreditation.
