Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as an ultrasound tech/sonographer.
• Must hold one or more credentials: Registered Vascular Tech, Registered Cardiac Sonographer OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer per state regulation and clinical specialty.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasonic procedures as directed by physicians.
• Perform non-invasive hemodynamic evaluations and write test results.
• Schedule patients for procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and optimum test results.
• Position patients and select the appropriate transducer.
• Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment and adjust settings.
• Perform exams in a timely manner and document results.
• Take patient history and retrieve prior files.
• Coordinate patient flow and verify all exams are completed.
• Maintain and stock all supplies and equipment.
• Maintain department records and reports.
