Job summary

A Registered Vascular Sonographer role in the Tampa area supports a busy vascular surgery practice across two locations, with Monday–Friday day shifts and no weekends or nights. You will perform vascular and abdominal ultrasound studies, collaborate with clinicians, and ensure accurate imaging to enhance patient care.

The position emphasizes independent work, high-quality results, and travel between Tampa and Wesley Chapel as part of a regular schedule.

Qualifications

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), OR Registered Technologist – Vascular Sonography (R.T.(VS)(ARRT)), OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Experience performing venous ultrasound Doppler procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel between two designated office locations in Tampa and Wesley Chapel.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations following established protocols.
• Conduct vascular and venous Doppler ultrasound procedures.
• Perform abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, small parts, and interventional sonography as needed.
• Confirm patient and exam accuracy using two identifiers before examinations.
• Document and report procedures in line with departmental policies.
• Maintain high-quality diagnostic images and utilize PACS and imaging equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients to support efficient workflow.
• Attend department meetings and contribute to team objectives.
