Job summary

VIP Medical Group in Bronx, NY is seeking a skilled Medical Sonographer to perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasounds and assist during procedures. You will prepare exam rooms, manage EMR notes, and ensure patient safety and privacy in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Medical Sonography, has at least one year of experience, and is Certified Medical Sonographer with RVT/RVS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Medical Sonography is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Sonographer.
• Certification: Certified Medical Sonographer; RVT/RVS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule out DVT scans, and post procedure scans.
• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams following safety policies and procedures.
• Medical intakes.
• Enter medical notes in our EMR system.
• Use sterile technique for procedure setup and prep patients.
• Assist during procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy per HIPAA regulations.
• Care for ultrasound equipment and report issues to the office.
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with coworkers and health care team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule out DVT scans, and post procedure scans.
• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Medical intakes.
• Enter medical notes in our EMR system.
• Use sterile technique for procedure set up and prep patients for procedures.
• Assist during procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
• Properly care for Ultrasound equipment and notifies the office if there are any issues.
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers and members of the health care team.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Medical Sonography.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Sonography.
• EMR systems.
• Lower extremity/ vascular preferred.
• Certification: Certified Medical Sonographer.
• RVT or RVS preferred.
