Role Description

The Vascular Sonographer is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, performing high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations in a variety of clinical settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, obtaining diagnostic images of peripheral arteries and veins, carotid arteries, and other vascular structures, and ensuring accurate measurement and documentation. The sonographer collaborates closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support clinical decision-making, follows established protocols and safety standards, and maintains equipment cleanliness and functionality. The role also involves verifying patient information, updating records in imaging or practice systems, and providing clear, professional communication to patients and clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Diagnostic ultrasound credentials, including Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), (RVS) certification or eligibility.
• Strong knowledge of vascular imaging, including vascular anatomy, hemodynamics, and pathology.
• Clinical experience or coursework in relevant to vascular diagnostics.
• the ability to correlate vascular findings.
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography or vascular technology program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start.
• Ability to work independently in mobile and on-site environments, manage schedules, and adapt to different clinical workflows.
• Excellent communication skills, professional patient interaction, and strong attention to detail in documentation and image quality.
