Trinity Health Oakland is hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer II with vascular specialization for an evening/afternoon schedule at Trinity Health Oakland. The role reviews physician orders, prepares patients, and performs ultrasound exams to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation.

The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited sonography program, hold or pursue ARDMS certification in ABD/OB/GYN and Vascular, and be willing to train in Breast Imaging.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Sonography program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARDMS certification in ABD or OB/GYN and Vascular; RVT Registry-eligible within one year of hire.
• One year as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred.
• Willing to train in Breast Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and prepare patients for ultrasound exams.
• Perform vascular and general ultrasound examinations to obtain high-quality images.
• Assist physicians with US-guided procedures.
• Relay preliminary radiologist reports to physicians.
• Maintain equipment and sterile field; ensure patient comfort.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient preparation with units.
