Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with vascular access expertise to assess and manage peripheral IVs and PICC lines. You will work with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective vascular access and patient care.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, a Maryland RN license, BLS, and PICC competency, with at least three years of RN experience in vascular access.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Three years RN experience with peripheral IV placement demonstrated.
• Maryland RN license current.
• BLS certification current.
• PICC insertion competency required on hire for specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine vascular access needs based on diagnosis and history.
• Place peripheral IVs and mid/long-term VADs as ordered by providers.
• Troubleshoot VAD complications and support staff as a resource.
