GBMC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in vascular access to assess, place and maintain IV and PICC lines. The role requires advanced critical thinking, independent work, and strong teaching skills for staff and patients.

Qualified candidates have an Associate Degree in Nursing, 3 years RN experience with vascular access, and Maryland RN licensure. The position emphasizes patient care quality and adherence to GBMC values.

Formación

• Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Three years experience as a Registered Nurse with competence in peripheral IV placement.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients for vascular access needs based on diagnosis, medication, history and stay length.
• Place and manage vascular access devices; contact physicians for orders as needed.
• Perform IV starts, phlebotomy with IV starts and catheter placements.
• Maintain detailed medical records of patient care and document outcomes.
• Provide 1:1 staff education on vascular access and participate in QA programs.
