Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Vascular Access Team. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care, collaborate with the care team, and mentor staff on vascular access and infusion therapy.

Responsibilities include assessing difficult access patients, providing education to staff and patients, and coordinating care with discharge planners. Florida RN license and BLS/CPR are required; IV/Ultrasound experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing is required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1 year of acute care nursing experience is required; 2–5 years preferred.
• Current Florida RN license and BLS/CPR certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with difficult venous access for appropriate VAD device.
• Round on units to identify patients needing mid-to-long-term VAD support.
• Troubleshoot VAD complications and assist staff as a resource.
