Qualifications

• Five years of nursing experience.
• Two years PICC/Midline insertion experience.
• CRNI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations for Vascular Access Device appropriateness using patient history and plan of therapy.
• Follow Infusion Nurses Society standards of practice.
• Set up and perform vascular access procedures (PICC, Midline, peripheral IV) as trained.
• Maintain infection prevention measures including hand hygiene and PPE.
• Use ultrasound guidance when appropriate for VAD access.
• Document completions and report to the licensed staff after insertion.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and infection control.
• Troubleshoot/declot obstructed central line catheters.
• Educate staff on line care and surveillance.
