Job summary

Stanford Health Care - ValleyCare seeks a Vascular Access Registered Nurse to provide consultation and treatment for placement of PICCs, midline catheters, and ultrasound guided peripheral IVs, following the California Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.

The role includes patient assessment, collaboration with the care team, and education for patients and families to manage central lines and prevent complications.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred and graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Two years RN acute care experience minimum.
• Experience with central venous access devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for vascular access and select appropriate device.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to coordinate care.
• Perform and document vascular access procedures and dressing changes.
• Educate patients and families on care of vascular access devices.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care.
