Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Vascular Access Registered Nurse 2 for the 7p-7a night shift in Towson, MD.

You will provide vascular access care, maintenance and evaluation of devices, including PICC insertion and related procedures, for assigned patients. The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Nursing, has three years of RN experience with peripheral IV placement, and demonstrates strong critical thinking, teaching and communication skills, with willingness to

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Three years RN experience with competence in peripheral IV placement.
• Willingness to learn Modified Seldinger Technique with wire, scalpel and portable ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for vascular access needs based on diagnosis, meds, history and length of stay.
• Place peripheral IVs and venous access devices; place PICCs and manage VADs.
• Troubleshoot complications and educate patients on line care and maintenance.
• Document procedures and patient responses; communicate changes to the care team.
