American IV is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide vascular access across the hospital, performing peripheral IV placement and PICC insertion and maintenance. The role includes patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with the nursing team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities include ultrasound-guided catheter insertion, vascular access management, and supporting training, research, and process improvement to enhance patient outcomes and hospital workflows.

Qualifications

• Active District of Columbia or compact-state RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Responsabilités

• Provide vascular access to patients, including peripheral IV placement and PICC insertion and maintenance.
• Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and collaborate with nursing team.
• Use ultrasound guidance for catheter insertion and ensure patient safety.
• Support nursing training, research, and process improvement.
