Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Stanly Venous Access Team in Albemarle, NC. The role involves applying the nursing process, evaluating patient needs, and coordinating with the care team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering treatments per protocols, maintaining documentation in the EHR, and supporting continuous quality and safety initiatives within the unit. Some weekends/holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the relevant state(s).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional credentials may be needed based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• May administer medications and therapies according to clinical protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and promotes patient safety and ethical decision-making.
