Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Vascular Access Nurse to join the Union area Vascular Access Team. This role supports Union and Union West with bedside assessments, IV therapy, and nursing care in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires a nursing education program graduate with an active RN license and BLS certification. Expect involvement in quality initiatives, safe patient handling, and strict adherence to department policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in NC
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans.
• Uphold safety culture and participate in continuous improvement.
• May administer medications and therapies as per protocols.
• Document accurately in the EHR and maintain records.
• Possible float to other units to meet patient care needs.
