Job summary

VTP is seeking experienced PICC RNs with recent vascular access experience for a sporadic per diem role. Independent PICC insertion experience is required; PICC certification training is not provided. You will collaborate with clinical teams to resolve venous access issues and support treatment objectives; work may be inside or outside hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current, active license.
• Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound.
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs).
• Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• American Heart BLS Certification.
• Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and meet scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification.
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience.
• Must possess a smart phone.
• Must LOVE vascular access.

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance.
• Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation.
• Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices.
• Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting.
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs.
