Job summary

VTP is seeking experienced PICC RNs with strong vascular access experience to resolve venous access issues and support physician objectives. Depending on the referral, work inside or outside hospital settings, offering varied treatment protocols and patient challenges across care settings.

This role provides a different pace from high-volume 12-hour shifts, with per diem scheduling and travel to customer facilities as assigned. Smartphone required for scheduling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an active RN license.
• Experience placing PICCs, midlines or other vascular devices using ultrasound.
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs).
• Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, care and troubleshooting.
• American Heart BLS Certification.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and meet scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance.
• Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation.
• Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices.
• Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting.
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs and other CVADs.
