Job summary

Lahey Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Vascular Access Registered Nurse to provide expert consultation and services across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role involves assessing patients, selecting appropriate vascular access devices, and performing insertion, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various vascular access lines. The RN will collaborate with physicians, APs, and nursing colleagues to ensure safe, evidence-based care and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide vascular access consultation for inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Assess patients and recommend vascular access devices.
• Insert and manage PIVs, USGIVs, midlines, PICCs, and IO devices.
• Perform vascular access procedures using evidence-based practices.
• Monitor, maintain and dress vascular access devices and ports.
• Educate staff on device selection, maintenance and complications.
• Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record.
