Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Head Cheerleading Coach for Tuscarora High School in Leesburg, VA. The season runs Fall: August–November. The coach will direct training, supervise assistants, and work with the athletic director to ensure safety, insurance, and VHSL compliance.

The successful candidate will foster sportsmanship, recruit and develop volunteers, schedule contests, and maintain equipment and records for all teams.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or enrolled in current course.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and evaluate all assistant coaches.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention decisions for coaches.
• Ensure insurance coverage for all athletes and compliance with VHSL rules.
• Promote sportsmanship and pride in team, school, and community.
• Be present at varsity contests and supervise junior varsity and freshman events where possible.
• Organize training, conditioning, and performance for varsity teams and lead staff.
