Job summary

Punahou School Athletics is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Varsity Wrestling Team to support the head coach and organize program needs. Responsibilities include conducting practices, motivating students, and teaching game strategies in an educational setting.

The ideal candidate has wrestling coaching experience in schools, strong communication and organizational skills, and a track record of coaching performance with high school athletes.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of leadership experience in an interscholastic program as a coach or related athletic experience.
• Background in teaching preferred, with experience working with adolescents.
• Knowledge of athletics and competition at high school level; ability to develop practice plans and game strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with organizing needs of the sport within the Athletic Program.
• Conduct practices, motivate students, and instruct student athletes in game strategies and techniques.
