Job summary

Punahou School is actively recruiting an Assistant Coach for the Girls Intermediate Soccer Team. The Assistant Coach supports the head coach with organizing the sport within the Athletic Program, conducts practices, motivates students, and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques.

The ideal candidate will have coaching experience in an educational setting, strong communication and organizational skills, and a positive track record of coaching performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• One year of leadership experience in an interscholastic program as a coach or related athletic experience.
• Background in teaching preferred with experience working with adolescents.
• Knowledge of athletics and competition at middle/high school levels.
• Demonstrated coaching knowledge through practice plans and game strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with organizing needs of the sport within the Athletic Program.
• Conduct practices and motivate student athletes.
• Instruct student athletes in game strategies and techniques.
