The candidate should have 1–3 years coaching experience at middle/high school level, strong communication, and availability for evenings/weekends; background check and CPR/First Aid required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience as an assistant or head Swimming & Diving coach at middle/high school level.
• Demonstrate effective coaching skills and techniques, and be knowledgeable of the rules, regulations, and strategies.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with administrators, parents, and students.
• Available to work nights and weekends.
• Background check, CPR Certification, First Aid training, Bus training required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sidwell Friends and the Swimming & Diving Program professionally in all aspects, including recruitment and coaching.
• Coordinate development and promotion of the program; assess players and determine game strategy.
• Organize and schedule practice sessions; direct individual and small group activities.
• Plan preseason meeting with athletes and parents before the first official game.
• Maintain and secure all equipment and uniforms.
• Adhere to school league rules and regulations; uphold Quaker values.
